The five sessions of the Global e Scholars Initiative were held at the International Office and Partnership (IOP) office, located in the new cyber building, and at the FITK auditorium of UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon. The five themes addressed in GeSI 2024 were: (1) Visionary Governance for Digital Transformation in Higher Education; (2) Enhancing Student Engagement in Digital English Language Classrooms: Reflections of English Teachers; (3) Innovative Practices in Digital Learning: A Neuroscience and Psychology Perspective; (4) Innovative Teaching Methods in ELT: Insights from Cyber Education; (5) Engaging Digital Learning Strategies for Future Educators. This intellectual event took place from June 25-27, 2024.

Professor Andrew Lian, President of the Asia Association of Computer-Assisted Language Learning (AsiaCALL), and Professor Andrew Martin from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia, made valuable contributions to in-depth discussions on innovations in cyber education and the development of digital educational resources.

In the FGD, participants, including lecturers, students, and English teacher representatives from various regions, had the opportunity to engage directly with the two professors. The discussions covered important topics such as innovative English language teaching strategies, the use of technology in education, and the challenges and opportunities in cyber education in the digital era.

Dr. Saifuddin, Dean of FITK UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon, expressed his pride in the success of GeSI 2024. “We greatly appreciate the contributions of Professor Andrew Lian and Professor Andrew Martin in enriching the knowledge and practice of cyber education at UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon.
