Steps Towards Global Partnership: FITK IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon Collaborates with World’s Top 19th Ranked University
IAIN Cirebon—The Faculty of Education and Teacher Training (FITK) at IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon Announces International Research Symposium Cirebon, April 26, 2024- The Faculty of Education and Teacher Training (FITK) at IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon has announced an International Research Symposium scheduled for June 2024. The event is highlighted by the participation of Professor Andrew Martin, an expert in educational psychology from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia. UNSW is one of Australia's leading universities, currently ranked 19th in the world.
Professor Andrew Martin (Scientia Professor Andrew Martin at unsw.edu.au) expressed his excitement about sharing his expertise at the international research symposium organized by FITK. His keynote speech at the Charles Darwin University International Research Symposium last March received overwhelmingly positive responses from the faculty and students at FITK IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon.
Professor Martin's commitment to attending the symposium in Cirebon was confirmed by the Dean of FITK, Dr. H. Saifuddin, during an info session facilitated by the International Office at IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon. The Dean stated that FITK is committed to building a long-term partnership with UNSW as part of the effort to realize the 2024 Performance Agreement between the Rector of IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon and the Director General of Islamic Higher Education at the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Indonesia. One of the performance targets is to establish collaborations with globally recognized universities ranked in the top 100 worldwide.
Through this collaboration with UNSW, the Director of the International Office at IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon, Lala Bumela Sudimantara, Ph.D., who has previously partnered with Professor Andrew Martin, stated that FITK is the first faculty within IAIN Syekh Nurjati to establish a partnership with a QS top 100 global university. This is a significant and proud achievement for FITK IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon.
The international symposium is planned as a platform to discuss the philosophy of learning in the cyber era. Professor Andrew Martin will be one of the main speakers, sharing his knowledge and experience on developing digital content production principles and strategies for delivering this content through learning infrastructures.
