Steps Towards UIN Cyber Transformation: Historic Visit from Global Catalyst ev. Germany to IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon
IAIN Cirebon—Saturday, May 4, 2024- IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon had the opportunity to host a visit from Global Katalist ev. Germany. The event was attended by Vice Rector III for Cooperation and Student Affairs at IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon, Prof. Dr. Hajam, M.Ag, accompanied by the Head of the International Office, Lala Bumela, M.Pd, Ph.D, and the Head of the Career Guidance Center, Wahyono, M.Pd.I. The event also welcomed several invited guests from nearby universities in the Cirebon area, including UIBBC Cirebon, IAIC, and UNISA Kuningan.
Vice Rector III of IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon, Prof. Dr. Hajam, M.Ag, opened the event and welcomed the guests from Global Katalist ev. Germany and other invited guests. In his remarks, Prof. Hajam stated that IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon is currently transitioning to become UIN Syekh Nurjati Cyber and is expanding its reach on the international stage through collaborations with various domestic and international partners.
Meanwhile, Doddy Primananda Kadarisman, representing Global Katalist ev. Germany, mentioned that Germany currently has a high demand for human resources and job opportunities for young Indonesians. For higher education institutions, there are numerous benefits to be gained from various programs offered by the German government, such as the Ausbildung and Studium programs in Germany. These programs provide opportunities for students and alumni to continue their studies through vocational and academic education in Germany. Additionally, through the Ausbildung program, students will be trained and educated to become internationally recognized professionals in their fields with substantial earnings.
The hope is that this event will help IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon to go international and collaborate with the German government to jointly advance education in Indonesia, particularly at IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon as it transforms into UIN Syekh Nurjati Cyber. This activity is not new to the dynamic environment of IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon. The academic community will continue to strive to develop collaborative relationships with various universities and industries worldwide. This effort aims to realize the vision of making IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon a high-quality, internationally recognized university or World Class University.
