In his presentation session, Professor Andrew Lian discussed the concept of Cognitive Load Theory, emphasizing the importance of managing the amount of information that the human brain can process effectively. Therefore, "chunking" information, whether delivered online or offline, is a crucial aspect of learning. Considering that every learner has a unique operational history, a cyber university must develop "learning tools" that can personalize the learning experience for each student. Professor Andrew Lian also took the opportunity to map out the concept of precision education, which could become a distinctive development point for UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon.
Dr. Saifuddin, Dean of FITK UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon, expressed his pride in Professor Lian's participation as the President of AsiaCALL in this conference. "We greatly value the collaboration with global education figures like Professor Andrew Lian, who not only has sharp academic distinction in technology-based learning but also possesses solid global leadership qualities, having served as a professor on four continents. His presence brings valuable new perspectives as we work to develop cyber education and expand open Islamic educational resources," he said.
